Door Prizes, Giveaways, Contests
Raffling off a basket of goodies: swift, bobbin winder, books, yarn, needles
Special Featured Instructor: Susan Stevens (fleegle)
Susan Stevens (fleegle) has been knitting for 59 years. Starting with a potholder at the age of two, fleegle, under the tuition of her eagle-eyed, demanding mother, was knitting sweaters at eight, socks and gloves at nine, and complicated, utterly useless doilies at ten. She is also the only non-Japanese Japanese Embroidery professional in the world, having studied and worked in a traditional workshop in Japan for ten years, embroidering obi and kimono for Really Rich People.
fleegle is best-known for wearing googly eyes on springs to an eye doctor appointment the fleegle heel, a variety of tricks for simplifying complicated knitting, the Black Widow Spider King lace shawl, and most recently, the Cat-Herder-in-Charge of the the 73-page Queen Susan Shawl pattern, a reconstruction of an antique masterpiece in The Shetland Museum. The latter was featured in the February, 2010 issue of The Knitter magazine.
fleegle lives in North Georgia with a gorgeous husband named Roy, a plump cat named Laptop, and an annoying giant spider named Harry.
Patricia has been knitting for 45 years, mastering all weights. She has focused her attention on fingering and lace weights. Patricia started knitting socks about 30 years ago and loves to knit socks. Currently, she enjoys the complexity of lacework.
Assisting in the Queen Susan Shawl project, Patricia has become knowledgable in the art of chart design. She lives Upstate, South Carolina and travels throughout the Southeast teaching and sharing techniques.
After retiring from his 27 year career in Corporate Information Technologies, to enjoy his retirement and follow his passion, Tom opened "in the woods campground".
A self taught knitter at 16, Tom has been knitting throughout his life enjoying the relaxing aspect of the craft. At "in the woods," Tom hopes to share his love of nature and fiber arts.

Question: Isn't in the woods a gay clothing-optional campground?
Yes, however, many events, like this one, mandates the campground to close its doors to the general public. Nudity is not allowed during these functions. in the woods is proud to continually be granted 100% health inspections.
Also, in the woods does not have a bar. Feel free to bring your own.
